Good luck to all that still read this board at Pomona, Volkspower Racing will be back at Chula Vista.

Any single buggy guys interested in a single buggy only test session over here in AZ at the Speedworld test track. Was told that its $1500 a day, and when I was out there it looks like a great place to shake down your ride and maybe have a race there someday. I will try and find out what the limit on cars is for a private test, but I think we could do 10 without it being an issue. Shoot me an email if interested or call 602-751-8423. If not, see you guys in Pomona.

Sure has been quite here. What does everybody have to say about the possibility of no restrictor plate next year? What about the increase in entry fee to possible $500? Going to NC for a race? Any other rules people want to see stay or go, any new ones, anybody????

Might work, but then y have a separate single buggy/ 1600 race? Plus Im only good for maybe 25 miles of racing, and no big rocks. Dont want anything going through my .040 thick floor!

Primm Show down, sing it or lose it.Its time to lay it on the line last races of the year, who wants to go out with a win under there belt ? I can here those 1600 motors singing now. Time to put that Red crew back a few spots.

I'm ready to go. Sucked not racing Texas, but gave me a chance to finish my new Titanium gearbox, bump up the 1600 to a 1776, install triple valve springs and carbon fiber pushrods and buy some Propeline Oxide! Hope you guys don't have a problem with the 48mm carb, don't worry I will still run the right restrictor plate!!!!!!!!!(wouldn't want to get DQ'ed for the same thing twice!)
Should be ready to fly next weekend. Its the last race for my old, heavy ex-desert dog so I'm letting it all hang out and going for broke. It will be Win or Wade for me!!!!!!
See you guys Thursday.

Even though I didn't get to race,I had a lot of fun.Okay heres my complaints! 1.The starts are stupid-you cant pass till you get passed the flag or the cones, whichever.as a spectator I hatttted it.As for my second complaint wacthing the races my friends would ask me if it killed me to watch single buggy-and i would say no.what kills me is watching the trucks and the rookie(rich-guys)that can't drive-that kills me.the single buggy race was one of the best.keep up the good work.

Comment from monkey
  01.10.2007 - 19:53

#1 is a pretty good complaint , however there were still people passing way before the flag, i agree the rule is not right but we should abide by it!
Comment from Pauly
  03.10.2007 - 15:49

Yes, no passing before the flag was a little hard to swallow as a driver. But on the other hand I think it worked out as planned. I think I'm getting it know. Notice no starting line carnage. It's nice to not worry that some guy " Going For It" isn't going to take you out before you ever even see turn one. At least for me any way. If I had one complaint I would say CORR needs to use there corn oil invention a little more spareingly. The track never dried out in all 11 laps. What kind of tire do you run in an oil spill?
Comment from Sean Kennedy
  03.10.2007 - 17:07

I have to agree with Kevin on this one(rule #1). It didn't effect me this weekend but it has in the past. That rule may be easy to follow when there are only 15 trucks out there but when there's 33 buggies in front of you with huge and varying degrees of competitiveness or talent, it is very hard to follow. You cant even see the flag guy. You just want to go. GREEN should mean RACE!! RIGHT NOW!! JMO
Comment from Sean Kennedy
  03.10.2007 - 17:15

Oh yeah, another stupid thing about that rule is the penalty for breaking it. DQing a guy for accidentally passing someone is WAY to harsh of a penalty. A DQ should be handed out for something that is dangerous or gives a guy a huge advantage. This penalty needs to be really looked at. How much of an advantage does a guy in 20th place have if he happens to get by the 19th and 18th place guy a few feet early. In the back is where most of these infractions occur. The guys in the front usually are on top of it.
Comment from MIKE SANDOVAL
  03.10.2007 - 21:05

SEAN I think you just get a black flag for it stop and go. the 333 car got one and he was pissed.
Comment from Sean Kennedy

Antelope Valley Update- Stopped by AV Fairgrounds yesterday and the track is being dozed. Still too early to tell the final layout but looks similar to last Aprils layout. The bank turns are still in place and they are working the track from there. Still have a long way to go. Weather was nice, not too hot and without the high winds.

you guys in the sportsman classes have to remember the corr or better bigjim really doesn't give a rip about the sportsman classes to him you guys are fillers and when he was in the midwest he figured he could survive without sportsman racers.Don't expect them to increase your payout. As far as yellow and blackflag issue remember the more they lose during a race the fewer in the class at the end of the year. just my 2cents

Comment from vic bruckmann
  26.08.2007 - 19:25

I am not looking for more money just take the money that is already being distribted and limit it to top ten cars not asking jim for more money just different pay back table 1st through 10th and 10-40 gets 0 1-10 bigger payback!!!

I like the Idea of two heats lets the fast guys race together and lets the slower guys get to race still with out elimination all together!! as far as the pay back they should only pay back top 5 or maybe top ten and increase the total for top ten if your getting money for 26th place you should be embarresed !!! let the people who earned the money get paid top ten max!! if you win right now you might get 800 bucks that is a joke for the caliber of drivers that are winning these races!! they deserve better!!

Comment from kevin bedrock graves

agree with vic,top ten only should get money 11th or worse no money . i dont want 50 dollar checks-embarresing
Comment from Joe J&B
  21.08.2007 - 12:48

The payout checks are a very important part of racing not so much the payout money but for tax reasons, racing is business and the income in the form of purse money, no matter what amount is what allows us to write this off as a business-simple-no purse checks-
No Business-No Racing!

The other theing that I was told is that next year if we continue to get 40+ cars that they will go down the list of finishers (1,3,5,7 ect group 1, 2,4,6, ect group 2)from this year and split them into 2 groups. Each group will ONLY race against their own group all year long for points. So bacically there will be 2 seperate class's. Me personally, I'm against this, I want to race against all the Boyers, Kennedy's, Graves, Morgans,(except Troy!) and so on. I think/hope we/Corr can come up with a better solution than that, not really interested in that set up.

Leave the rules alone. We have enough other things that need to be fixed like starting and payback that we dont need to be going to them with rule changes.

The problem I see if you remove the restrictor plates is what is it going to do to the power of the dual ports to single ports? Lets just leave it alone like it has been forever. The racing is great when we run clean, so lets run clean and have a good time. No rule changes for me.

whats the differance if we all run a 21.5 or 30 sb just get more for our 7000 dollars i think sb all deserve that. if sb think sb deserve more then the rhinos sb should be faster dont you think

Were already faster than rhinos, and faster than some super buggies. Leave the rules alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
